Treefish now has a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) to help you with your virtualisation projects.
Gaining the VCP status requires attending a four day course and successfully passing the VCP exam. David attended the course in October 2006 and sat the exam a few weeks later when an exam slot opened up.
The course objectives (taken from the VMware Education Services website):

• Install and configure ESX Server, VMware VirtualCenter, and multiple guest virtual machines
• Create VMware virtual machines, network them and set their priorities for accessing resources
• Move and clone virtual machines
• Ensure high availability for applications inside virtual machines
• Monitor the state of the system and virtual machines
• Troubleshoot ESX Server in a systematic manner
• Deploy ESX Server and VMware VirtualCenter in alignment with VMware’s best-practice recommendations
